Electrical Project / Commissioning Engineer
Adecco Engineering are looking for an Electrical Project / Commissioning Engineer to join our clients Electrical Projects team in Glasgow, reporting directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager.
Our client are market leaders within their industry and build specialised machinery for the forge and foundry industries servicing customers such as Ferrari, Daimler, John Deere, Renault, Volvo and more.

Department: Electrical (Projects)
Working Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

The role:
This role will include the production of technical drawings and documentation, training in the EPLAN drawing package will be provided. An important part of this position will be the installation of manipulators and projects across the globe.
- Establish and maintain EPLAN template schematic projects for standard machines
- Standard Project Purchasing and help with Special Project purchasing when required
- Quote request generation to suppliers and maintaining accurate parts-lists
- Label and Marker manufacture for Workshop
- FAT and pre-shipping inspection, with customer, as required
- Technical Documentation for creation of manuals (collating machine specific information; management of drawings and translations)
- Workshop <=> Design Office liaison
- Standard Project Technical Specification and basic Project Management of standard machines including customer liaison
- Site Installation of Standard machines
- Site Installations of Special Projects (as part of a larger team) when required
- Site Inspections of machines
- Limited programming and diagnosis of Programmable Logic Controllers (primarily Siemens S7 & Rockwell Compact/Control Logix)
Candidate Qualities Required:
- The ability to read, fully understand and design electrical schematics
- The ability to work to fixed deadlines with regards to release of drawings and part purchase
- To travel for 3 to 4 months of the year, covering most areas around the globe (South/North America, Europe, China, South Africa, Asia, etc)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot Electromechanical systems
- The use of computers for communication/design/purchasing
- Previous experience of electrical CAD software
- An understanding of analogue electronic circuits and components
- Programming of PLC control systems (Siemens S7-1200/1500; Rockwell Micro/Compact/Control Logix)
- Experience of Hydraulic systems and components
