Lead PMO for Centre of Expertise transformation - Global Finance Analytics - FTC

We are looking for an ambitious individual to join the Global Finance Operations team as a PMO Lead for Centre of Expertise (CoE) transformation for Global Finance Analytics. This individual will report to the Leader of Global Finance Analytics CoE. This is a great opportunity for an eager individual that wants to make an impact on the Future of Finance transformation workstream, and help define the strategic direction, priorities, and execution roadmap that will establish the building blocks of Global Finance Operations’ transformation.

The PMO Lead for Global Finance Analytics will serve as a trusted advisor to the Leader of Global Finance Analytics CoE and the Future of Finance Leaders / Transformation Leaders on both organic and inorganic projects. The PMO Lead is a key execution role and will be responsible for the vision, structure, governance, and implementation of all aspects of Global Finance Analytics CoE. The PMO Lead will drive management of cross-functional stakeholders, apply PMO methods and standards, manage the day-to-day execution plans, and support implementation and transition efforts. This individual will become an integral part of WTW’s Future of Finance transformation in the company’s multiyear journey to realize the Grow, Simplify, and Transformation strategy. This role can be located anywhere with preference for candidates with some cross over with US Eastern time zone.

Responsibilities :

• Lead a large Global Finance Operations CoE transformation effort in the Future of Finance workstream that will evolve to provide expertise in the areas reporting, analytics and modeling

• Design, develop, and continuously manage the PMO methods and standards and help the CoE Lead manage and execute on deliverables, roadmaps, workplans, interdependencies, risks, and issues

• Anticipate roadblocks and proactively address issues before they impact project outcomes and results. Ensure relevant programs/projects are on track, including budget, timeline, and scope

• Engage/partner with Future of Finance leaders as a strategic thought partner to develop and devise scope and approach to ensure CoE transformation benefits and value are delivered for Future of Finance

• Partner with cross-functional teams including Technology, Sales, HR, WE DO on project planning and implementation. Explore ways to improve connections across functional areas to enhance operational excellence

• Advise and gather requirements, develop scope and charters, establish working team structure and cadence, and drive the execution of new or existing CoE transformation initiative

• Prepare executive level presentations, supporting Future of Finance governance structure, deliverables, and socialization and communication plans

• Produce and support business case development ensuring all investment decisions are understood, rigorously challenged, and supported by appropriate financial and ROI analysis.

• Partner with change management team and engage with key finance and business leaders to ensure comprehensive assessment of changes, transition, and business adoption deliverables

• Ability to “get one’s hands dirty” to deeply understand and drive deliverables, produce presentations, and manage day-to-day projects activities

• Oversee overall demand management process to deal with new requests and changes to existing requests. Assess the validity of new requests and the evaluate key factors to decide whether the request can be fulfilled as part of the normal SLA

• Determine needs, request, and manage project resources. Adapt and request the right mix of resource as applicable to ensure project deliverables are completed.

• Develop data and analytics thought leadership and become a reporting, and analytics champion in Finance’s transformation journey to introduce new process and technology. Ultimately improving Finance’s service capabilities and the value Finance delivers to the business customers.

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or another quantitative field or candidate with relevant work experience (e.g. working within a Finance / FP&A CoE environment) will also be considered.

• Progressive experience in global project management, consulting, or corporate finance, preferably from a large public company in the professional services, brokerage, or insurance industry

• Experience in FP&A / Finance Data & Analytics CoE roles partnering with business and finance leaders and managing teams preferred

• Skilled with Microsoft Project. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

• Advanced knowledge of data and analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Anaplan, Alteryx, etc

Competencies

• Experience leading project intakes, prioritizations, and alignment of execution to strategy; building program roadmaps and execution plans.

• Hands-on project management experience of large cross-functional, global technology implementations with teams in Sales, Finance, and/or HR.

• Strong understanding of Agile methods of implementation.

• A can-do attitude and the ability to build credibility with stakeholders

• Data-driven decision mindset who can use sound judgement, analytical thinking, and insightful recommendations to solve business problems

• Entrepreneurial team player who is curious, manages time effectively, and delivers personally with limited oversight.

• Outstanding verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills

• Availability to travel as business requires
